Partners: City Administrations and Local Democracy Agencies Prijedor, Mostar and Zavidovići; City of Trento; Civil Protection of Trentino, Consortium for Environmental Protection; Ministry of Environmental Protection of Federation of BiH and Republic of Srpska; Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Federation of BiH and Republic of Srpska.
General Objective:
Promote the exchange of experiences and the dissemination of good practices in three municipalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning: sustainable development; local socio-economic development; professional options for young people; participation and dialogue between civil society and local institutions; global citizenship.
Specific Objectives:
SO1. Improve the capacities of local public institutions, competent ministries and Bosnian civil protection in designing and managing public initiatives related to the mitigation of climate change effects prevention and management of natural disasters, management of natural resources and use of alternative energy sources
SO2. Strengthen the tools and capacities of the micro and small enterprises, associated and cooperative enterprises
SO3. Fostering greater cohesion, convergence and participation between civil society and public administrations in promoting sustainable local development models
EXPECTED RESULTS:
R1.1 Local Plan for the environment control with particular reference to the issue of waste management, identified in a participatory process in the Municipalities involved
R1.2 Local Plan for the climate change impact mitigation and for prevention and management of natural disasters (f.i. floods), identified in a participatory way by the Municipalities involved
R1.3 Local Plan for forest management and/or use of renewable energy, identified in a participatory process by the involved Municipalities.
R2.1 Identified the technical needs and the best practices for the development of MSEs (micro and small enterprises), associated micro companies and cooperatives, with particular regard to the inclusion of young people in the three Municipalities of the Action
R2.2 At least 12 training events carried out for Ministries, Local Public Administrations and civil society organizations, in particular for young people, for the standardization, start-up and support to MSEs, in associations or cooperatives
R2.3 Identified and selected appropriate financial tools to support the 3 commercial organization, one for each LDA, composed of at least two or three small business initiatives of young people or cooperative organizations.
R2.4 Rehabilitated or constructed small infrastructures and purchased equipment for one or more Centers for the commercialization and marketing of agro-forestry produce, handicraft, tourism initiatives of associations or cooperatives
R3.1 Trained at least 12 between young professionals and employees of the three local public administrations on the use of good participatory practices for the diagnosis of the territorial development
R3.2 Local Plans for management of natural resources through participatory approach are acknowledged, shared, approved if possible to be and among the instruments of three local Governments of the Action
R3.3 Widespread good practices and adopted if possible at a municipal level the “e-government” as a mean of enhancing the democracy, the exchange of information and practices, the civil society participation and the active citizenship
