DESCRIPTION: PIROUETTE Phase 2 builds on the success of the earlier project (2022-2023) to keep encouraging young people to get involved in their communities through the creative use of performative arts. By using this approach, PIROUETTE Phase 2 teaches participants to think critically, see connections between global issues and local problems, and feel connected to people around the world. The project focuses on helping young people, especially those who often don’t get enough support, to use their talents to make a difference. It will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ireland, Kosovo, Germany, Montenegro, and Serbia, and will directly involve youth, youth workers, and young people interested in art or event organization. It will also support youth organizations, NGOs, and local partners. Through creating educational programs, organizing exchanges for youth workers, and putting on performances that talk about global issues, the project wants to build teamwork, inclusivity, and responsibility. PIROUETTE Phase 2 will set up special learning spaces for young artists and make sure its activities can last for a long time, bringing positive change even after the project ends. In the end, the goal is to inspire young people to use their creativity to address global challenges and build stronger, more welcoming communities that celebrate diversity and active involvement.

AIM OF THE PROJECT: The aim of the project is to enhance the utilization of performative arts as an innovative non-formal education methodology, with the primary goal of strengthening the social and civic engagement of youth, particularly those with fewer opportunities, while promoting global education and fostering a sense of global citizenship through the inclusion of diverse artists and the encouragement of “unprivileged art(ists).”
